Founded in 2011 and currently having more than 22.000 members, Photo Contest is considered the biggest photographic community in Greece.
Streaming live on YouTube, making educational videos for enthusiast photographers, writing articles and of course holding frequent photo contests are just some of the activities!
Trying to design a logo about photography is really a challenge, because by making a research you’ll notice that almost everyone has used a lens or the shape of aperture. But, if you think it in reverse, it also means that by designing something that -even slightly- resembles a lens or an aperture, anyone would understand it immediately.
This was the thought behind this logo, designing a really minimal lens with just two incomplete circles to symbolize a photographic lens and by adding the words “photo contest”, anyone is able to understand the concept.
Photo Contest has a numerous different shows and one thing that I had in mind when designing this brand was for the logo to be easily adapted for this purpose.
Photo Contest uploads new videos every week and has live broadcasts twice a month!
